A wonderful destination : Mohare to khopra

Just to the southwest part of the Annapurna Himalayan range, one of Nepal’s most wonderful trail, the beaten trek called Annapurna–Dhaulagiri Community Eco Treak. Originally Developed by award wining social entrepreneur-Mahabir pun. The trail is located near the famous foottrail punhill area.  The trail is managed by community where the benefits from tourism reaches the whole community.

The trek offers a unique Nepal experience with a mixture of nature and culture. The views from Mohare Danda (3310m.) and Khopra, the highest point of the trek (3,650 m), are far better than from the frequently visited Poon/pun Hill with panoramas of both the Annapurna and Dhaulagiri mountain ranges.

In addition you’ll have plenty of opportunity to engage with the friendly villagers you’ll meet along the trail. Tip: Don’t miss the yak farm in Kopra Ridge and Khayar taal (lake). The only place in the Annapurnas where you can encounter the famous yaks.

The beaten trek leads you away beautiful mountain views, small traditional villages, rice fields and huge rhododendron forests. Mohare, Khopra, khayar taal, fulbari, punhill views with panorama that highlights Fishtail, Annapurna South and Dhaulagiri ranges at sunrise and sun set.

Khopra and Mohare ridge are newly established as a tourist destination. khopra redge is in the heart of Annapurna region but still remains rural and secret for the trekkers . And Mohare Danda is the peaceful foothills, newly discovered hiking route.

This trek is also popularly known as Eco Community Lodge trek. Mohare hill station at an elevation of 3,300m from sea level. Moreover, you can also see glorious sunrise and sunset views over the glittering mountains.
